Milk costs more than gasoline as well, by the way. You don't see us waging global war over cows.

Bottled water (depending on the per unit quantity) costs more than gasoline and milk. Thing is... there are thousands of competing water bottlers. Not to mention the tap that's probably in your kitchen.
